At last night’s Recovered Life Group Meeting, we didn’t just talk about resentment—we explored how to release it. Through radical self-inquiry, ownership, and reimagination, we challenged the narratives that have held us back and took real steps toward liberation.
The Stories That Keep Us Stuck
We began with a powerful question:
💬 “What story have you been telling yourself about the person or situation you resent? How has believing this story kept you stuck?”
Resentment often disguises itself as righteousness. It convinces us that we are protecting ourselves when, in reality, it’s holding us hostage. Many of us uncovered the hidden narratives behind our resentment—stories of betrayal, unfair treatment, or unresolved wounds. But as we examined them, a realization emerged: these stories were just perspectives, not absolute truths.
