What to Let Go Of (Weekly Recovery Reflection)
Letting go of resentment, control, and unrealistic expectations frees us to focus on what truly matters.
Quote
“Some of us think holding on makes us strong, but sometimes it is letting go.”

My Thoughts
In recovery, we learn that letting go is not about giving up—it’s about making space. Letting go of resentment, control, and unrealistic expectations frees us to focus on what truly matters. Often, the things we cling to most tightly are the very things holding us back. By releasing what no longer serves us, we make room for growth, peace, and possibilities we couldn’t see before. Letting go doesn’t mean forgetting; it means choosing freedom over fear.
Action for the Week
Take a moment to reflect: What am I holding onto that is no longer serving me? Write it down, and consider one step you can take to let it go, even if it’s just a change in perspective.
Very insightful piece.
