My Thoughts

As Christmas draws near, life gets louder — the lists, the plans, the expectations. Yet deep beneath the noise, there’s a quiet invitation to return to stillness. The spiritual meaning of this season isn’t found in rushing or performing; it’s found in remembering who we are when everything else fades away.

In recovery, stillness is sacred space. It’s where we hear our intuition, connect to our Higher Power, and feel genuine gratitude. When we stop trying to make the season “perfect,” we begin to notice the perfection already here — the small moments of laughter, warmth, and peace that remind us what truly matters.

You don’t need to earn the magic of this season. You just need to pause long enough to receive it.

Action for the Week

Each day before Christmas, carve out a few minutes of silence. No phone, no TV, no noise — just breath and awareness. Ask yourself:

  • What am I grateful for right now?

  • What am I being called to release before the year ends?

  • Where can I make space for peace instead of pressure?

Let stillness be your gift to yourself this week. In that quiet space, the light of the season will find you.
